Katikati Tented Camp – The facts :
This camp is a simple yet effective base from which you have easy access to one of the best game viewing areas in the Serengeti. It is about 40 minutes from the Seronera airstrip, nicely tucked away from the hustle and bustle that comes with Serengeti safaris in the centre of the Serengeti.

Serengeti National Park is renowned for its vast, breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife, including the iconic Great Migration. This annual migration involves over two million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles moving across the Serengeti and Maasai Mara, looking for fresh grazing lands. The park is also famous for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from savannahs and woodlands to kopjes (rocky outcrops), making it one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves.
The best time to visit Serengeti Park depends on what you want to experience. The ideal time to witness the Great Migration is between June and October when the herds move through the Serengeti’s central and northern regions.
